This book is written by Brian and Edmond Theriault to help preserve the art of traditional snowshoe making. Many hours have been spent learning and developing the process to make the best snowshoes for snow traveling and exercising. The design and workmanship is the bonus that creates a work of art.

Brain and Edmond started making snowshoes over forty years ago when one of the last snowshoe makers in Fort Kent, Willie Roy, was retiring. Making snowshoes can be looked at as more of a hobby, but underneath it all, it is a great chance to save a small part of the history of this area. We have made many changes and used different tools to save time and improve quality. Being from a family of hunters and trappers gave us an extra reason to travel to where the animals lived during our harsh winters. Paperback; 206 pages.

"The world changes by taking small steps; leaving tracks so they can be followed." Brian J. Theriault
